STRONG FOUNDATIONS
Bayonne Construction is a grassroots company that came to life in 1996 when founder, Steve Baldwin, saw the opportunity to develop a business built on honesty, relationships, and a strong team.
Initially based in his garage with a crew of three, Steve has since built a professional team of over 100 people with large bases in Te Rapa (Hamilton) and Tauranga. After nearly three decades, one of the original members is still with the company and many have been at Bayonne for over a decade.
The team at Bayonne are close-knit with every member being treated as part of an extended family. We are dedicated to helping each person grow and develop their careers. Many have been with us for over 10 years providing stability and depth of knowledge to the wider team.

Without shouting it from the rooftops, we are proud to support several community groups and teams. This is a legacy of Steve that has been imprinted on the company ethos – it’s the right thing to do so we do it. When we see a need that we can fill, we quietly do that and then get on with our core business.
